Data protection
The website content is provided centrally by thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH so that visitors to the site can access information about the product range of thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH and our company. The personal data of visitors to the website is handled in accordance with the strict requirements of the GDPR. The protection of your privacy when using our website is extremely important to us. Therefore, we would like to inform you about how personal data is collected.
You can visit the thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH website anonymously, i.e. without telling us who you are. When you visit our website, our web servers automatically process the IP address you use to access our website, the website from which you visit us, the files you access on our website, the date of your visit and general information about your browser. These data are processed in order to ensure the security of the web servers and to adapt the output of the requested information to your output medium in a performant manner. All analyses for statistical purposes are carried out in an anonymized manner.
Personal data is only stored and processed if you provide it to us voluntarily, for example when completing a contact form or registering for personalized services. On the respective website you will be informed about the intended use and, if necessary, asked for your consent to the storage and processing of your data. Your data will only be passed on to affiliated thyssenkrupp companies and service providers, for example so that the written information you have requested can be sent to you. All service providers are, of course, obliged to maintain data secrecy and confidentiality. Your data will not be passed on to other third parties. Your data will always be encrypted before transmission and processing to protect it from unauthorized access.
Cookies are text files that are stored on your computer or other end device. The use of cookies helps us to analyze your use of the website, to improve the services and products we offer, and to enhance security and prevent fraud. We distinguish between different types of cookies:
Session cookies are temporary cookie files that are automatically deleted when you close your browser.
Permanent cookies are cookie files that are stored until they are actively deleted or automatically removed after a certain period of time.
First-party cookies are cookies set directly by us.
Third-party cookies are cookies set by a third party provider.
Personal data may be stored in cookies on individual pages with your prior express consent, for example so that you do not have to re-enter access data. In principle, you can access all information on our websites even if you have deactivated cookies in your Internet browser. If you do not accept cookies, this may restrict your use of certain functions on our website.
You can give your consent by clicking on "Accept all" or by selecting individual options. Your data may then also be processed in third countries outside the EU, such as the USA, which do not provide a level of data protection comparable to that in the EU and where, in particular, access by local authorities may not be effectively prevented. The legal basis for this is Art. 49(1) lit. a GDPR. If you do not agree with this, you can change the consent you have given any time.
Below you will find detailed information about the individual services on our website:
thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH processes the following data about you in order to deal with your enquiry, if you provide it in the contact form: title, first name, last name, e-mail address, street, ZIP code, town, telephone number and the content of your enquiry. We will disclose your personal data to recipients if this is necessary to fulfill your request. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data depends on your request and may result from a contract with you (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR), your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) or by virtue of balancing your interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) with our legitimate interest in providing you with a good service. We are supported in the operation of our contact form by our IT service providers as processors. We process your data - if the processing is based on your consent - until your consent is revoked or - if the processing is based on a balance of interests - until you object or until the purpose of your inquiry has been completed. It is not possible to process your enquiry if you do not provide your contact data or the data necessary to understand and process your enquiry. The other information is optional. This service is only available to individuals over the age of 18.
If we process your personal data on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), you may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. If we process your personal data on the basis of a balance of interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), you may object to such processing at any time with effect for the future.
Pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR, you have the right to obtain information on the personal data stored about you. In addition, you may obtain the rectification or erasure of your data pursuant to Art. 16 & 17 GDPR. You may also have the right to obtain restriction of processing of your data pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR and the right to handover of the data you provided in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR provided that this does not adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others. If you have given us your consent to the processing of your data, you may withdraw this consent in any form and at any time with no detrimental effect. Please note that the withdrawal will have no effect on the lawfulness of the data processing that took place prior to the withdrawal and that it will not extend to such data processing for which another legal basis exists and which may therefore also be carried out without your consent.
To exercise your rights, please contact the responsible body or data protection officer named below.
Pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR, you also have the possibility to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority responsible. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.
You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you which is based on Article 6(1) lit. f of the EU GDPR (data processing on the basis of a balance of interests), including any profiling based on this provision within the meaning of Article 4 no. 4 GDPR.
If you file an objection, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms or if the processing is for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. The objection may be made in any form and should ideally be addressed to the responsible body or data protection officer named below in the Data Protection Policy.
This data protection policy applies solely to the use of the websites we provide. It does not apply to the websites of other service providers to which we merely provide a link. We do not assume any responsibility or liability for third party policies and guidelines that are not related to our website.
We reserve the right to amend the above data protection provisions from time to time to reflect future changes regarding the collection and processing of personal data.
